Newly Elected President Dr. Kern Tobias

 The second day of meetings saw the selection of the nominating committee which was approved by the delegates. They immediately set to work and came back with a report which for many seemed to be “earth-shaking”. Dr. Eugene Daniel who served almost two terms as president of the Union was replaced Dr. Kern Tobias the current President of the South Caribbean Conference. While there were no objections to the report, the new appointment was the subject of discussion at the lunch table, each finally voicing there premonition that there would have been some change at the level of the Union.

Interspersed between the work of the nominating committee were the departmental reports which highlighted the many signal ways in which the Lord worked through Youth, Ministerial and Family life, Women and Children’s Ministries and Education. The entire days proceedings was delightfully seasoned by the devotionals first by Dr. Elie Henry, secretary of the Inter American Division, and then at noon by Amanda Seunarine, youth evangelist from the South Caribbean Conference (SCC) and finally at 7 PM by Pastor Andy Manzano also from SCC. Each took us on a journey geared toward understanding the marvelous grace of our loving Lord.
