Ms Fridie began working with the South Caribbean Conference (the local office) in 1970; then moved on to the Caribbean Union Conference (the regional office) in 1972 as a secretary. After studying at West Indies College (now Northern Caribbean University) in Jamaica, she returned to Trinidad where she took up the appointment of Cashier/Accountant in 1977, then Accountant in 1989. She became Assistant Treasurer in 1992; then in August 2001 she was appointed to the position of Treasurer of the regional office where she served until her retirement on February 1, 2010. At the time of her passing, she was serving as financial comptroller of the South Caribbean Credit Union Cooperative Society on a contractual basis. The Seventh-day Adventist family throughout the region is deeply saddened by her passing but takes consolation in knowing that she awaits the call of the Life Giver on that Resurrection morning. |
