Union Mobilizes its members to assist Haiti
We are all aware that Haiti was devastated on January 12, 2010 when an earthquake struck the Island at around 5:00 p.m. We have seen the devastation and hopelessness expressed in the faces of these citizens as they grope in despair wondering who will come to their aid. Millions are homeless, among them children. The government has guesstimated that hundreds of thousands have died. We must respond to this crisis. Our humanity will not allow us to do otherwise..
The Caribbean Union is committed to raising the first US$250,000.00 in cash by Tuesday January 19. To date the Seventh-day Adventist Church has sent millions of dollars in aid in the initial search and rescue activities. The Church is currently coordinating efforts to send medical units and medical personnel to bring relief. There is a great need for generators, tents, water and medicines.Haiti Needs Our Help!Let's do the right thing and give generously.
